Complimentary 15 Minute Consultation

Each new patient will have an opportunity to schedule a free 15-minute consultation prior to their first visit. This will allow for the patient to ask questions, discuss concerns related to their care, and assess whether our practice is a good fit for them.

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation

(60-minute visit)

This visit will include a thorough evaluation of the patient’s symptoms, medical/surgical/social/psychiatric history, family history, and medication/herbal/supplement regimens. Many illnesses manifest with psychiatric presentations therefore a detailed assessment is vital to understanding the root causes of one's symptoms. You may be required to obtain specific labs, imaging, or evaluations prior to initiating certain psychotropic medications. The information obtained will guide the clinician in formulating an accurate diagnosis, identifying treatment goals, as well as a patient specific treatment plan. Lifestyle modifications, supplements, medication recommendations, and therapy options best for each patient will be discussed. If medications are recommended, the provider will thoroughly discuss the dose, timing, route of administration, risks, benefits, common side effects, potential adverse reactions, and anticipated therapeutic responses. The patient will be required to sign an informed consent after being counseled on the medication. While taking psychotropic medications, follow up appointments are essential to monitor effectiveness, side effects, and the need for dose adjustment.
